Tasulin-D Tablet is used to manage moderate to severe urinary symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, an enlarged prostate). It combines tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker, with dutasteride, which shrinks the prostate over time.
Tamsulosin rapidly relaxes the prostate and bladder neck muscles to improve urine flow, while dutasteride reduces the hormone responsible for prostate growth, gradually shrinking the prostate and reducing the risk of BPH complications over the longer term.
Take this tablet daily, generally after the same meal each day, exactly as your doctor prescribes.
Tell your doctor if you are due for eye surgery, as tamsulosin can affect the eye's pupil response during cataract surgery. Women who are or may become pregnant should avoid handling broken or crushed tablets, as dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin and may harm a male foetus.
