HCQS-200 Tablet is used to manage rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and other autoimmune conditions, reducing joint pain, swelling and skin symptoms. It is also used to prevent and treat certain types of malaria.
It contains hydroxychloroquine, a disease-modifying antirheumatic medicine that is also an antimalarial. It works by calming the overactive immune response and, in malaria, by acting against the parasite.
Take it with food or milk as prescribed. It may take several weeks to show its full benefit in autoimmune conditions.
Attend regular eye examinations during long-term treatment, as this medicine can rarely affect the retina. Tell your doctor about any eye disease, psoriasis or liver problems before starting, and report any visual changes promptly.
