Amoxyclav 625 Tablet is a medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, urinary tract, ears, and skin. It is commonly prescribed for sinusitis, pneumonia, and wound infections.
It contains a combination of amoxicillin, which kills bacteria, and clavulanic acid, which prevents bacteria from becoming resistant, making the antibiotic more effective. It is usually taken with food to reduce stomach upset, at evenly spaced intervals as prescribed by your doctor.
Complete the full course of this medicine even if you start feeling better, as stopping early can allow the infection to return and increase the risk of antibiotic resistance.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any allergies to penicillin antibiotics, or kidney or liver problems. Contact your doctor right away if you develop a skin rash, severe diarrhoea, or signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
