Amoxyclav 625 Tablet 10

Amoxyclav 625 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in adults and helps the body clear the infection effectively.

Uses of Amoxyclav 625 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats infections of the lungs, sinuses, and ears such as pneumonia, sinusitis, and bronchitis.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Helps clear bacterial infections of the urinary tract.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats infected wounds and skin infections.
• Resistance Prevention: Clavulanic acid helps overcome bacterial resistance, making treatment more effective.

• Take Amoxyclav 625 Tablet with or just before food, swallowed whole with water, exactly as your doctor prescribes. Taking it with food reduces stomach upset.
• Space the doses evenly through the day and complete the full course, even if you feel better, so the infection clears and resistance does not develop.
• Stop it and get urgent medical help if you get a rash, itching, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing, as this can be a serious allergic reaction.

Amoxyclav 625 Tablet is taken by mouth. Swallow it whole with water, with or just before food.

Amoxyclav 625 Tablet combines Amoxicillin 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, a penicillin-type antibiotic with a protector. It works by:

• Amoxicillin prevents bacteria from building their protective cell wall, so they die.
• Clavulanic acid blocks an enzyme some bacteria use to destroy amoxicillin, so the antibiotic keeps working against resistant bacteria.

• Store Amoxyclav 625 Tablet below 25°C, away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Drink plenty of fluids and rest well to help your body fight the infection, and finish the full course as prescribed.
• A probiotic or live yoghurt may help reduce antibiotic-related loose stools; take it a couple of hours apart from your dose.
• Eat a balanced diet and avoid smoking, which slows recovery from chest infections.

• Complete the full course of Amoxyclav 625 Tablet even if you feel better, and take it with food at evenly spaced times.
• Tell your doctor before starting if you have ever reacted to penicillin or any antibiotic, and get urgent help for swelling or breathing difficulty.
• Report severe, watery or bloody diarrhoea, during or even weeks after the course, as antibiotics can trigger it.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
