Tamdura Capsule is used to treat an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It helps relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and urinary urgency. By improving urinary flow, it supports prostate health and reduces BPH-related discomfort.

Tamdura Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It should not be taken by any other route.

Tamdura Capsule contains two active ingredients: tamsulosin and dutasteride.

• Tamsulosin belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate gland and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine.
• Dutasteride falls under the category of 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It acts by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate enlargement. By inhibiting DHT production, dutasteride helps shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland.

Together, tamsulosin and dutasteride work synergistically to alleviate symptoms related to an enlarged prostate gland, such as difficulty passing urine and frequent urination.
