Tamdura Capsule is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition where the prostate gland becomes enlarged. It helps relieve difficulty in urination, frequent urges, weak urine flow, and sudden need to urinate by improving urinary passage and reducing obstruction.

Tamdura Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It should not be taken by any other route.

Tamdura Capsule contains two active ingredients: tamsulosin and dutasteride.

• Tamsulosin belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate gland and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine.
• Dutasteride falls under the category of 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It acts by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate enlargement. By inhibiting DHT production, dutasteride helps shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland.

Together, tamsulosin and dutasteride work synergistically to alleviate symptoms related to an enlarged prostate gland, such as difficulty passing urine and frequent urination.
