Tamdura Capsule is used in adult men to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate and to help reduce the size of the prostate gland over time.

Uses of Tamdura Capsule are:

• Urinary Flow Improvement: Relieves a weak urine stream, difficulty starting urination and dribbling.
• Urinary Frequency: Eases frequent or urgent urination, particularly during the night.
• Prostate Size Reduction: Helps shrink the enlarged prostate gland and lowers the risk of needing prostate surgery.

Tamdura Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It should not be taken by any other route.

Tamdura Capsule contains two active ingredients: tamsulosin and dutasteride.

• Tamsulosin belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate gland and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine.
• Dutasteride falls under the category of 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It acts by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate enlargement. By inhibiting DHT production, dutasteride helps shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland.

Together, tamsulosin and dutasteride work synergistically to alleviate symptoms related to an enlarged prostate gland, such as difficulty passing urine and frequent urination.
