Tamdura Capsule is used to relieve urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate and to slow disease progression in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Uses of Tamdura Capsule are:

• Urinary Flow Improvement: Relieves weak urine stream, difficulty starting urination, and dribbling.
• Frequency Reduction: Eases frequent or urgent urination, particularly during the night.
• BPH Progression Control: Helps shrink the enlarged prostate gland and reduces the need for prostate surgery.

Tamdura Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It should not be taken by any other route.

Tamdura Capsule contains two active ingredients: tamsulosin and dutasteride.

• Tamsulosin belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate gland and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine.
• Dutasteride falls under the category of 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It acts by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate enlargement. By inhibiting DHT production, dutasteride helps shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland.

Together, tamsulosin and dutasteride work synergistically to alleviate symptoms related to an enlarged prostate gland, such as difficulty passing urine and frequent urination.
