Geriflo D Tablet 30

Geriflo D Tablet is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, such as frequent urination, difficulty in starting urination, and a weak urine stream. It contains two medicines, Tamsulosin and Dutasteride, that work together to relax the muscles of the prostate and shrink its size, improving urine flow and reducing related discomfort.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Do not stop taking this medicine or change your dose without consulting your doctor first.

Geriflo-D Tablet is taken orally.

Geriflo-D Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This is a type 1 and type 2 5α-reductase inhibitor. It blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the primary androgen responsible for prostate growth. By reducing DHT levels, dutasteride helps to shrink the enlarged prostate, leading to improved urinary symptoms.
• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This medicine is an α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist. It selectively binds to α1-receptors in various parts of your urinary system such as the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, prostatic capsule, and prostatic urethra. This leads to relaxation of these muscles, improving urine flow and reducing BPH symptoms.
