HCQS-300 Tablet is a disease-modifying medicine used to manage chronic autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic or discoid lupus erythematosus. It helps reduce long-term joint pain, swelling, and skin inflammation, preventing joint damage over time. It is also used to prevent and treat malaria in specific regions.
It contains hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial and disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). Take it as prescribed with food or a glass of milk to minimise stomach upset. Because DMARDs work gradually, it may take several weeks to notice improvement, so continue taking the medicine regularly as directed by your doctor.
To manage autoimmune conditions effectively, balance light exercise with adequate joint rest, protect your skin from direct sunlight exposure using clothing or sunscreen, and follow a balanced diet.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have vision or eye problems, liver or kidney disease, heart rhythm issues, or psoriasis. Periodic eye examinations are required during long-term therapy to monitor retinal health. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
