Ecosprin-75 Tablet is used for the long-term prevention of heart attacks and ischaemic strokes, and to manage angina. It is used in people with a history of cardiovascular disease or who have had procedures such as heart bypass surgery or angioplasty.
It contains a low dose of aspirin, which works as an antiplatelet medicine to stop platelets sticking together and forming clots. At this low strength it is for daily heart protection, not pain relief.
Take it as prescribed, with food or a large glass of water to reduce stomach irritation. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can raise the risk of a heart event.
Tell your doctor about any asthma, stomach ulcers or bleeding problems before starting, and about other blood thinners. Report unusual bruising, dark stools or wheezing.
