Tamlocept D Capsule is used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men. It helps relieve urinary symptoms such as a weak stream, difficulty passing urine, and a frequent need to go.
It contains tamsulosin, which relaxes the muscles around the prostate and bladder neck, and dutasteride, which gradually reduces the size of the prostate. Swallow the capsule whole as prescribed; do not open or crush it. The full benefit can take several months.
It can take time to feel the full effect, so keep taking the capsule regularly as prescribed. If you are due to have cataract or other eye surgery, tell your eye surgeon that you take this medicine, as it can affect the procedure.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems or low blood pressure, and tell your eye surgeon before cataract surgery. Women who are or may become pregnant must not handle leaking or broken capsules, as the medicine can harm an unborn baby. Report dizziness on standing or fainting.
