CTD 12.5 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and reduce swelling from heart, kidney, or liver disorders. By removing excess salt and water from the body, it helps lower blood pressure and reduce fluid retention, preventing serious complications like heart attacks and strokes.

Here's how you should take CTD-12.5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Take the medicine at a consistent time each day, preferably in the morning to prevent frequent urination at night.
• Ensure you consume this medicine along with food.
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

CTD-12.5 Tablet is taken orally.

The activity of CTD-12.5 Tablet can be understood as follows:

• Inhibition of Sodium Reabsorption: The medicine works by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride by your kidneys.
• Increase in Urine Output: By reducing sodium reabsorption, CTD-12.5 Tablet promotes increased urine production. More urine means more excess fluid is removed from your body.
• Blood Vessel Relaxation: Apart from its diuretic properties, the medicine also relaxes your blood vessels which contributes greatly towards lowering your blood pressure.
• Long-lasting Diuretic Effect: The increased water excretion after taking this medicine occurs approximately 2.6 hours post administration and can last up to 72 hours.

• Store CTD-12.5 Tablet in a dry place, away from light and moisture.
• Maintain an ideal storage temperature between 20°C to 25°C.
• Don't keep it in places exposed to extreme heat or cold.
• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.
• Make sure to use the tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• Limit your salt intake since too much salt can raise your blood pressure.
• Consume potassium-rich foods such as bananas and oranges to help balance the loss of potassium caused by increased urination.
• Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise a week.
• Avoid excessive amounts of caffeine and alcohol which can lead to dehydration.
