Dutas T+ Capsule is used in men to manage the symptoms of an enlarged prostate and to improve urinary function related to benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Dutas T Plus Capsule is taken orally.

Dutas T Plus Capsule contains two active components:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This component works by inhibiting 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is associated with prostate enlargement. By reducing the levels of DHT, dutasteride helps shrink the enlarged prostate and relieve the symptoms of BPH.
• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): As an alpha-blocker, tamsulosin works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This action helps in alleviating urinary symptoms of BPH such as difficulty initiating the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently.
