Urilosin-D Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia in adult men

• Relief from urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate gland

• Improvement of urine flow by relaxing muscles in the prostate and bladder neck

• Reduction of the frequent or urgent need to urinate

• Alleviation of difficulty in starting urination

• Mitigation of feeling that the bladder is not completely empty after urination

Here's how you should take Urilosin-D Tablet:

• Swallow the medicine whole with a glass of water.

• It's important to avoid crushing, chewing, or opening the tablet as this may cause mouth or throat irritation.

• Always take your medicine around 30 minutes after the same meal each day to ensure consistency.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor first.

• Do not abruptly stop taking this medicine; instead, consult your doctor if you wish to discontinue use.

Urilosin-D Tablet is a combination medication with two active components working together to manage your symptoms:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride works by inhibiting an enzyme known as 5-alpha reductase in your body. This particular enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that causes your prostate to grow. By decreasing the levels of DHT, dutasteride helps shrink your enlarged prostate over time.

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): Tamsulosin is known as an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in your prostate and bladder neck. This relaxation improves your urine flow and reduces the symptoms of BPH, such as difficulty starting urination and a weak urine stream.

• Keep your Urilosin-D Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.
