TFCT-NIB Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ulcerative colitis and ankylosing spondylitis in adults, when previous treatments have not given adequate control. It helps reduce joint pain, stiffness and swelling, and eases digestive symptoms in inflammatory bowel conditions.
It contains tofacitinib, a JAK inhibitor that works on the immune system to reduce inflammation. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day, and swallow the tablet whole. Do not stop taking it without speaking to your doctor first, as this can cause your condition to flare up again.
Since this medicine can lower your body's ability to fight infection, avoid close contact with people who have contagious illnesses, keep up to date with any vaccinations your doctor recommends, and practise good hand hygiene.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have had tuberculosis or other infections, liver or kidney problems, or blood clotting disorders, or if you are taking other medicines. Regular blood tests are needed during treatment. Contact your doctor promptly if you develop fever, chills or a persistent cough. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
