CompositionTimzid MR Tablet is used to help prevent the chest pain of angina, reducing how often and how severely attacks occur and improving how much activity you can do. It is a preventive treatment, not for a sudden attack.
It contains trimetazidine. It works by helping the heart muscle cells use oxygen and energy more efficiently, so the heart copes better when its blood supply is limited.
Take it twice daily with meals as prescribed, and take it regularly, as it works by prevention rather than relieving a sudden attack.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or movement disorders before use. Report any tremor, unsteadiness or difficulty with movement, as this medicine can rarely cause these.
