Ajaduo 25mg/5mg Tablet is used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It also helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in diabetic patients with existing heart disease and lowers the risk of hospitalization due to heart failure, supporting both glycemic control and heart health.

Follow these instructions while taking AjaDuo 25/5 mg Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.
• You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your convenience.
• Always stick to the dose recommended by your doctor and do not exceed it.

AjaDuo 25/5 mg Tablet is taken orally.

AjaDuo 25/5 mg Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Empagliflozin (25 mg): This ingredient is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It reduces glucose reabsorption from your kidneys, leading to increased glucose excretion through urine. This process helps lower plasma glucose levels, effectively managing your blood sugar levels.

• Linagliptin (5 mg): As a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, linagliptin slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones. Incretins are a group of metabolic hormones that reduce blood sugar levels in a glucose-dependent manner. By keeping these hormones active for longer, linagliptin helps reduce both fasting and post-meal blood sugar concentrations.

• Store AjaDuo 25/5 mg Tablet at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
