CompositionIsolazine 20/37.5 Tablet is used to manage heart failure in adults, particularly as an alternative or add-on when ACE inhibitors or ARBs are not suitable. It helps reduce symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue and leg swelling.
It contains hydralazine, which relaxes the arteries, and isosorbide dinitrate, a nitrate that relaxes the veins and improves blood flow to the heart. A nitrate-free interval is usually kept to prevent tolerance.
Take it as prescribed. A heart-healthy diet and attending monitoring appointments support treatment.
It must not be taken with erectile dysfunction medicines. Tell your doctor about any very low blood pressure, severe kidney disease or lupus before starting, and report joint pains or a skin rash, which can rarely signal a lupus-like reaction.
