Rapilif-D 8 New Capsule is used to manage the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men. It helps relieve difficulty starting to urinate, a weak or dribbling stream, frequent urination, and incomplete bladder emptying.
It contains an alpha-1 receptor blocker that relaxes the muscles around the prostate and bladder neck, and a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that gradually reduces prostate size. Swallow the capsule whole as prescribed; do not open or crush it. Full benefit can take several months.
Keeping a normal fluid intake through the day and limiting caffeine and alcohol, which can irritate the bladder, helps alongside this medicine. Rise slowly from sitting or lying to reduce the risk of dizziness.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems or planned eye surgery. Women who are or may become pregnant must not handle leaking or broken capsules, as the medicine can harm an unborn baby. Report fainting or significant dizziness on standing to your doctor.
