Silotime D Tablet 15

Silotime D Tablet 15 is used to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate. It gradually reduces the size of the prostate, improving urine flow, reducing urgency and dribbling, and supporting comfortable bladder emptying, which helps improve the quality of life for those with BPH.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.
• Take it at the same time each day, with or without food.
• Continue taking this medicine even if your symptoms improve.

Silotime D Tablet 15 is taken orally.

The efficacy of Silotime D Tablet 15 lies in its two active ingredients:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride acts by inhibiting an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into a compound called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which plays a key role in enlarging the prostate gland. By reducing DHT levels, dutasteride contributes to shrinking the prostate, thereby decreasing BPH symptoms over time.
• Silodosin (8 mg): Silodosin works by selectively blocking alpha-1 receptors found in certain smooth muscles within your body specifically those in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, and prostatic capsule. The blocking of these receptors results in the relaxation of these muscles, easing urination and reducing symptoms such as urinary frequency and urgency.

• Store Silotime D Tablet 15 at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.
• Keep the medicine in a secure place, out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiry date before use and do not consume if the medication has passed its expiry date.
