Silotrif D 8 Tablet 10

Silotrif D 8 Tablet is used in adult men to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by relaxing the bladder and prostate muscles and gradually reducing the size of the prostate over time.

Uses of Silotrif D 8 Tablet are:

• Enlarged Prostate (BPH): Relaxes the muscles of the bladder and prostate to ease urination.
• Improved Urine Flow: Reduces urgency, dribbling and weak flow, supporting comfortable bladder emptying.
• Long-Term Prostate Control: Gradually shrinks the prostate to reduce the risk of urinary blockage over time.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.
• Take it at the same time each day, with or without food.
• Continue taking this medicine even if your symptoms improve.

Silotrif D 8 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

The efficacy of Silotrif D 8 Tablet 10 lies in its two active ingredients:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride acts by inhibiting an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone into a compound called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which plays a key role in enlarging the prostate gland. By reducing DHT levels, dutasteride contributes to shrinking the prostate, thereby decreasing BPH symptoms over time.
• Silodosin (8 mg): Silodosin works by selectively blocking alpha-1 receptors found in certain smooth muscles within your body specifically those in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, and prostatic capsule. The blocking of these receptors results in the relaxation of these muscles, easing urination and reducing symptoms such as urinary frequency and urgency.

• Store Silotrif D 8 Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.
• Keep the medicine in a secure place, out of reach of children.
