Silodal D 8 Capsule 10

Silodal-D 8 Capsule is used to relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), such as urinary discomfort and weak urine flow. It works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder, reducing the size of the prostate and facilitating smoother urine flow. This results in improved urinary function and relief from BPH-related discomfort.

• Swallow Silodal-D 8 Capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the capsule, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change the capsule dose or take them more often than prescribed.

• Silodal-D 8 Capsule is taken orally.

Silodal-D 8 Capsule contains the following component:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride belongs to a class of medications called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. It blocks the conversion of testosterone, a male sex hormone, into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). As the levels of DHT reduce in the body, the prostate gland shrinks, relieving the pressure it puts on the urethra and improving urinary symptoms.
• Silodosin (8 mg): It belongs to a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate gland and the neck of the bladder. By relaxing muscles, it helps relieve the tightness and pressure on the urethra. It allows easy urine flow and alleviates urinary symptoms associated with BPH.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Silodal-D 8 Capsule away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink fluids in moderation throughout the day. Avoid consuming a lot of water at once. It will reduce urinary frequency.
• Limit your consumption of coffee, tea, and alcohol. Caffeine and alcohol can irritate the bladder and worsen BPH symptoms. 
• Constipation can put extra strain on the bladder and worsen BPH symptoms. Adequate fibre intake promotes regular bowel movements, preventing constipation. Include fibre-rich foods like whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables.
• Take your time when urinating, ensuring you empty your bladder. Avoid straining and rushing during urination, which may contribute to urinary retention.
