Sildura 8 Capsule 10 is used to manage enlarged prostate (bph). It is a combination alpha-blocker and 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor medicine containing dutasteride and silodosin.

This medicine helps relieve urinary symptoms such as weak flow, urgency and frequent urination. It also helps manage improved urine flow.

Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions and allergies. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report persistent or serious side effects to your doctor. Do not stop taking or using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Enlarged Prostate (BPH): Helps relieve urinary symptoms such as weak flow, urgency and frequent urination.
Improved Urine Flow: Relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck to make passing urine easier.
Prostate Size Reduction: Helps shrink the prostate gland over time.

To use Sildura 8 Capsule 10, follow these steps:

Follow the dosage instructions given by your doctor.
Swallow the capsule whole without crushing, chewing, or opening it.

Sildura 8 Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Sildura 8 Capsule 10 may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few common side effects of Sildura 8 Capsule 10:

Neurological: dizziness and headache.
Cardiovascular: low blood pressure on standing, which can cause light-headedness.
Respiratory: a blocked nose (nasal congestion) and inflammation of the nose and throat.

Silodosin (8 mg): As an alpha-blocker, silodosin relaxes the prostate and bladder neck muscles. It selectively antagonises alpha-1 adrenoreceptors located in these tissues, leading to improved urinary flow and reduced symptoms of BPH.
Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This component works as a selective inhibitor of both type 1 and type 2 isoforms of 5α-reductase, an enzyme crucial in converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is mainly responsible for prostate growth; hence, by lowering DHT levels in the prostate, dutasteride helps shrink the prostate and improves BPH symptoms.

Alcohol

The interaction of alcohol with this medication is unknown. It's advisable to restrict alcohol consumption while taking Sildura 8 Capsule 10. If you regularly drink alcohol, please consult your doctor.

Liver

If you have mild to moderate liver problems, caution is advised when taking Sildura 8 Capsule 10. This medicine should not be taken if you have severe liver disease as it may affect liver function. Discuss your liver health with your doctor before starting this medication.
