Tellzy 40 Tablet is used for the following:

• Controlling high blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Decreasing the risk of heart attack in high-risk individuals aged over 55

• Slowing down stroke occurrence in individuals with a high cardiovascular risk

• Management of heart failure conditions

• Handling diabetic kidney disease, medically referred to as nephropathy

Here's how you should take Tellzy 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not break or chew the tablet before consuming it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Tellzy 40 Tablet contains telmisartan (40 mg), which interacts with your body through the following mechanisms:

• Angiotensin II Receptor Blocking: Telmisartan selectively blocks angiotensin II from binding to AT1 receptors in various tissues, including blood vessels. This leads to a reduction in the narrowing or constriction of your blood vessels (vasoconstriction) and less secretion of a hormone called aldosterone that regulates sodium and potassium levels in the body.
