Composition

Amlodipine (5 Mg) + Telmisartan (40 Mg)

Tellzy-AM Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, to relax blood vessels, improve blood flow, and reduce blood pressure, which helps lower the risk of heart attack and stroke.

In addition to managing hypertension, it is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke. It is especially beneficial for adults aged 55 and above who are at high risk of developing major cardiovascular issues.

Before starting this medicine, consult your doctor to determine the appropriate dosage for you. Inform your doctor about any pre-existing health conditions or medications you are currently taking. Tellzy-AM Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, prevent blood vessel narrowing, and improve blood flow. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke (particularly in patients over 55), and cardiovascular death in individuals at high risk.

Here are some instructions while taking Tellzy-AM Tablet:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
You can take this medicine with or without food.
It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Tellzy-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Tellzy-AM Tablet may cause common side effects such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, peripheral oedema (swelling in the legs, ankles, and feet due to fluid accumulation), and nasopharyngitis (a sore or scratchy throat due to infection).

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing the use of Tellzy-AM Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Here are some tips for managing common side effects:

Nausea: Try taking Tellzy-AM Tablet with food to lessen this effect.
Fatigue: If fatigue occurs after taking this medicine, consider taking it at bedtime.

Tellzy-AM Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient acts as a calcium channel blocker. It essentially prevents the influx of calcium ions into your blood vessel and heart muscle cells. As a result, your blood vessels relax, peripheral vascular resistance reduces, and blood pressure decreases.
Telmisartan (40 mg): Telmisartan operates as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It selectively binds to angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors, preventing their action. This action inhibits blood vessel constriction and halts the release of aldosterone, leading to lowered blood pressure.

The combination of these two ingredients creates a complementary and synergistic effect in managing hypertension.

Pregnancy

Tellzy-AM Tablet is contraindicated during the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, it's crucial to discuss this with your doctor before starting this medicine.

Breastfeeding

The information regarding the use of Tellzy-AM Tablet during breastfeeding is limited. It is best to consult your doctor before taking this medicine while breastfeeding.

Alcohol
