CompositionVoage 10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing dapagliflozin, and belongs to a class of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors.
This medicine also helps reduce the risk of hospital admission from heart failure and slows the progression of chronic kidney disease in appropriate people, by helping the kidneys remove extra glucose in the urine. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day, and continue even when you feel well. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Drinking enough water, following a controlled carbohydrate diet, maintaining good genital hygiene and attending regular kidney function checks support safe use of this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, a history of urinary tract or genital infections, or if you are prone to dehydration before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report signs of a genital or urinary infection, unusual thirst, or symptoms of low blood sugar, such as sweating and shakiness, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
