Esolembic D Capsule 15

Esolembic-D Capsule is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid, such as GERD, indigestion, heartburn, bloating, and stomach pain. It also helps manage rare conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. By neutralizing acid, it eases gas and improves digestion.

Here's how you should take Esolembic-D Capsule:

• Consume the capsule orally, preferably an hour before your meal in the morning.
• You must swallow the capsule whole; do not crush or chew it.

Esolembic-D Capsule is taken orally.

Esolembic-D Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Esomeprazole (40 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, esomeprazole works by suppressing gastric acid secretion. Specifically, it inhibits the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) located in the gastric parietal cells, blocking the final step of acid production. By doing so, it increases the gastric pH and reduces esophageal acid exposure which allows for esophageal healing.
• Domperidone (30 mg): Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine D2-receptor antagonist with gastrokinetic and antiemetic properties. It enhances esophageal peristalsis and lower esophageal sphincter pressure which aids in promoting gastric emptying and reducing reflux. Furthermore, it has a central antiemetic action by antagonising D2-receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone.

• Store Esolembic-D Capsule in a tightly closed container.
• Keep it at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.
• Protect the medicine from direct light and moisture. So, avoid storing it in the bathroom.
• Make sure it's always out of reach of children.
• Remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're taking Esolembic-D Capsule for GERD symptoms, try eating smaller meals more frequently rather than three large meals a day. This can help manage your symptoms better.
• As this medicine deals with gastric issues, consider limiting your intake of spicy and fatty foods which can trigger stomach discomfort and exacerbate GERD symptoms.
