CompositionEsolembic-D Capsule is used to treat acid reflux and manage gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), providing relief from persistent heartburn, stomach pain and a feeling of fullness or bloating. It also supports healing of acid-related damage to the food pipe.
It contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid the stomach produces, combined with domperidone, which helps the stomach empty more efficiently. Take the capsule on an empty stomach as prescribed, swallowing it whole. Continue taking it for the duration prescribed, even once symptoms ease, as this allows the food pipe lining to heal completely.
Eating smaller, more frequent meals, avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic foods, cutting down on caffeine and alcohol, and not lying down immediately after eating can all help reduce acid reflux alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, a history of heart rhythm disorders, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, before starting. Report severe or persistent diarrhoea, palpitations or fainting to your doctor promptly.
