Temsunol-D Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH) in adult men. It helps ease urinary symptoms such as difficulty passing urine, a weak stream and a frequent need to urinate, and lowers the risk of a sudden inability to pass urine.
It combines tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, and dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that helps shrink the prostate over time. Take it as prescribed, ideally after the same meal each day. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer.
Rising slowly from sitting or lying down helps reduce dizziness alongside this medicine, especially when you first start it. Limiting fluids in the late evening may help reduce night-time urination.
Tell your doctor about any low blood pressure, liver problems, or planned cataract or other eye surgery before starting, and about other medicines you take. This medicine is for men only and should not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant.
