Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet is used in adults to help manage and reduce the frequency of chest pain (angina) caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

Uses of Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet are:

• Angina Prevention: Helps reduce how often angina episodes happen as part of long-term management.
• Improvement of Blood Flow to the Heart: Helps widen blood vessels so that more oxygen-rich blood can reach the heart muscle.
• Exercise and Activity Support: Helps reduce chest pain triggered by physical activity in people with stable angina.

Here's how to take Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole without breaking, crushing, or chewing it.

• You can take the tablet with or without food, but ensure you maintain consistency in relation to meals.

• Make sure you follow your doctor's instructions carefully about when and how many times to take the medicine daily.

• Do not alter the dosing schedule or stop taking the medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet is taken orally.

Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet contains glyceryl trinitrate/nitroglycerin (2.6 mg) which influences your body in two major ways:

• Vascular Smooth Muscle Relaxation: The nitroglycerin in this medicine relaxes the smooth muscle within your blood vessels. This process is known as vasodilation and makes the blood vessels wider.

• Improved Blood Flow: With wider blood vessels, there is less resistance to the flow of blood to your heart. This reduces the overall workload on your heart and increases blood flow through coronary arteries, leading to better oxygenation of your heart muscles, therefore relieving angina pain.

Store Nitro-G 2.6 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, shielded from light and moisture.

• Place the medicine out of reach from children.

• Discard any leftover tablets 3 weeks after first opening the bottle.

• Always check the expiry date before taking a tablet.

• Regular physical activity: Light exercise like walking can help manage coronary artery disease. However, avoid sudden, strenuous activities which might trigger angina pain. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
