Syndopa Plus Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremors, muscle stiffness and slow movement. It helps restore dopamine levels in the brain and improve movement and daily coordination.
It contains levodopa, which the brain converts into dopamine, and carbidopa, which helps more of the levodopa reach the brain.
Take the tablet at the exact times prescribed to keep movement steady. A protein-heavy meal can reduce absorption, so your doctor may advise taking it 30 minutes before or after eating.
Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a serious reaction with muscle stiffness and fever. Tell your doctor straight away about sudden mood changes, hallucinations or strong unusual urges such as gambling or overspending.
