Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or if you drink alcohol regularly. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop unusual muscle pain, difficulty breathing, stomach pain, or severe weakness, as these can be signs of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis (a build-up of lactic acid in the blood).
