Rancv 500 Tablet is used with other medicines to manage chronic stable angina, a condition that causes chest pain when the heart muscle does not receive enough oxygen. It is not used to relieve a sudden angina attack.
It contains ranolazine, an anti-anginal medicine. It helps heart-muscle cells handle sodium and calcium more efficiently, which reduces strain on the heart without greatly lowering heart rate or blood pressure.
Swallow the extended-release tablet whole and take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food.
Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems, an abnormal heart rhythm, and all other medicines. Seek medical advice for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or worsening chest pain.
