Rancv 500 Tablet is used for the long-term management of chronic stable angina.

Rancv 500 Tablet contains ranolazine (500 mg) which interacts with the body in several ways:

• Decreases late sodium current: Ranolazine works by reducing the late sodium current in heart muscle cells. This change helps the heart muscle relax and perform more efficiently.

• Improves myocardial contractility and perfusion: By optimising sodium and calcium levels within heart cells, ranolazine enhances how well your heart muscles contract and improves blood supply to the heart muscle.

• Alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptor blocking effects: Ranolazine also has some effects on alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors in your body, contributing to its anti-anginal activity. The exact mechanism through which it achieves these effects is not fully understood yet.
