Epnone 25 Tablet is used for:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Improving survival rates in patients with heart failure following a recent heart attack

While taking Epnone 25 Tablet, kindly follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Be sure to follow the recommended dosage as advised by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Epnone 25 Tablet is taken orally.

Epnone 25 Tablet contains eplerenone (25 mg) and acts on the body as follows:

• Mineralocorticoid Receptor Blockage: Eplerenone selectively blocks the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) in your body. This receptor is usually activated by the hormone aldosterone.

• Control of Blood Volume and Pressure: By blocking MR, eplerenone inhibits the effects of aldosterone on the kidneys. Normally, aldosterone promotes the retention of sodium and fluid whilst increasing the excretion of potassium. Blocking these effects leads to a reduction in blood volume and pressure.

• Protective Effects on the Heart: In patients with heart failure, aldosterone can cause harmful changes to the cardiovascular system. By blocking aldosterone, eplerenone helps protect the heart from these changes.

• Store your Epnone 25 Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.
