CompositionEpnone 25 Tablet is an aldosterone antagonist (potassium-sparing diuretic) used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Containing eplerenone, it works by blocking the effects of the hormone aldosterone, which reduces sodium and water retention. It is also used to improve survival in patients who have had a recent heart attack and have heart failure with impaired function (left ventricular systolic dysfunction).
Epnone 25 Tablet is used for managing high blood pressure and, crucially, for improving survival rates in patients with heart failure following a recent heart attack. It helps block the action of aldosterone, reducing fluid retention and improving heart function.
While taking Epnone 25 Tablet, kindly follow these steps:
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
Be sure to follow the recommended dosage as advised by your doctor.
Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.
Epnone 25 Tablet is taken orally.

Kidney Disease: If you have kidney problems and your creatinine clearance is less than or equal to 30 mL/min, you should not take this tablet.

Hyperkalemia: If you have high potassium levels in your blood at initiation (greater than 5.5 mEq/L), you should not take this medicine.
Type 2 Diabetes with Microalbuminuria: This medicine is contraindicated for patients having type 2 diabetes with microalbuminuria.
