CompositionTofadoz 5 Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis in adults, and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis, usually when other treatments have not worked well enough.
It contains tofacitinib, a JAK inhibitor. It works by calming the overactive immune signals that drive inflammation in these conditions.
Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it without medical advice. Before starting, your doctor will usually check for infections such as tuberculosis, and regular blood tests monitor your blood counts, liver and cholesterol.
Because it lowers immune activity, you are more prone to infection, including shingles, so report any fever or signs of infection. Tell your doctor about any history of blood clots, heart disease or cancer before use, as this class can raise these risks. Report leg pain or swelling, breathlessness, or chest pain.
