CompositionAzmarda 100 Tablet is used to manage long-term chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults. It helps reduce the risk of hospital admission and death from heart-related causes, and improves symptoms such as breathlessness, tiredness and leg swelling. It belongs to a class of medicines called angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitors (ARNIs).
It contains sacubitril and valsartan combined in one tablet. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow the tablet whole. Continue taking it regularly, even if you feel well. Do not stop taking it without your doctor's advice.
Restricting your salt intake, monitoring your fluid intake, weighing yourself regularly to check for sudden weight gain, and staying as active as your doctor advises can help support treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or have recently taken an ACE inhibitor, as a gap of at least 36 hours is needed before switching to this medicine. This medicine must not be taken during pregnancy. Report facial or throat swelling, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or reduced urination immediately.
