Neptaz 100 Tablet is a combination cardiovascular medicine used to treat chronic heart failure in adults with reduced ejection fraction. It helps improve the heart's pumping efficiency and reduces the risk of hospitalisation and cardiovascular death.
It contains sacubitril and valsartan, an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI). Take it with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking it regularly even if your symptoms improve. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.
Follow a low-sodium (low-salt) diet, monitor your daily body weight, engage in light activity as advised, and restrict fluid intake if recommended by your cardiologist.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, diabetes, or a history of swelling (angioedema). Do not take this medicine if you are taking an ACE inhibitor; a 36-hour wash-out period is required between these medicines.
