Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing it, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue taking it even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol can support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any heart or liver problems or other medicines you take. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking it, as they can affect how it works. Mild swelling of the ankles (peripheral oedema), flushing or headache can occur, especially at first; tell your doctor if these persist.
