Sacurise 100 Tablet is used to treat long-term (chronic) heart failure in adults whose heart is not pumping as well as it should. It combines sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, with valsartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, and helps lower the risk of dying from heart-related causes and reduces the need for hospitalisation.
Sacubitril increases levels of natural substances that help the body remove excess salt and water and relax blood vessels, while valsartan blocks angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels, and together they help improve heart function and ease symptoms.
Take this tablet twice daily, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and your doctor will usually start you on a low dose and increase it gradually.
Do not take this medicine together with an ACE inhibitor, and leave a gap of at least 36 hours if switching between them, due to a risk of serious swelling (angioedema). Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, and have your blood pressure and blood potassium checked periodically.
