CompositionNicardia XL 60 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and to prevent chest pain (angina) in adults, including both chronic stable angina and vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina. It contains nifedipine 60mg in an extended-release form.
Nifedipine works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow to the heart, helping to prevent both stable and vasospastic angina attacks.
Take this extended-release tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, and do not crush or chew it, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, or if you notice significant swelling of the ankles or feet. Avoid grapefruit juice, which can increase levels of this medicine in the blood.
