Arnisac 100 Tablet 14 is used to help manage chronic heart failure in adults with a weak heart muscle, reducing the risk of hospital admission and death from cardiovascular causes, and easing breathlessness and ankle swelling. It is a combination medicine containing sacubitril and valsartan, an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI).
This medicine helps the heart pump more effectively. If you are switching from an ACE-inhibitor medicine, a gap of at least 36 hours is essential to avoid a serious reaction, and this medicine must not be used together with an ACE inhibitor.
Reducing the salt in your diet, keeping fluid intake within your doctor's guidance, weighing yourself daily as advised, gentle activity and watching for ankle swelling support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any kidney problems, raised potassium or a history of angioedema, and about all other medicines you take. Report marked dizziness or fainting, worsening ankle swelling, reduced urine output, or swelling of the face or tongue, which needs urgent attention.
