• Antidiabetic medications such as glipizide. This syrup can increase the concentration of antidiabetic medications in the body.
• Medications to treat insomnia, such as triazolam. This syrup can increase the absorption of these medications in the body.
• Antifungals such as ketoconazole. This syrup can reduce the absorption of antifungals in the body.
• Anticancer medications such as gefitinib. This syrup can reduce the absorption of anticancer medications in the body.
• HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection medications such as delavirdine and atazanavir. The absorption of these medications may be impaired on the concomitant use of Rantac Syrup.
• Anticoagulants such as warfarin. The concomitant use of anticoagulants with this syrup can result in altered prothrombin time.
• ​​Antiarrhythmics such as procainamide. This syrup can result in increased blood concentration of this medicine.

Rantac Syrup can interact with diseases, including:

• Porphyria (a rare blood disease): This syrup may trigger acute porphyric attacks in patients with acute porphyria. 

The recommended dose of this syrup should be taken as the doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.
