Nicardia Retard 10 Tablet 30 is used for the following:

• Treatment of high blood pressure

• Management of chronic stable angina

• Relief of vasospastic angina

• Improvement of blood flow to the heart

• Reduction of chest pain

• Lowering of elevated blood pressure

• Prevention of angina attacks

• Protection against heart-related chest discomfort

• Maintenance of healthy blood pressure levels

Follow these instructions while taking Nicardia Retard 10 Tablet 30:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take this medicine regularly at the same time each day.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Nicardia Retard 10 Tablet 30 is taken orally.

Nicardia Retard 10 Tablet 30 contains Nifedipine (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Calcium channel blocking: Nifedipine blocks the calcium channels in the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels, preventing calcium from entering these cells. This action stops the contraction process that narrows blood vessels.

• Blood vessel relaxation: By reducing calcium entry into muscle cells, nifedipine causes the blood vessels to relax and widen (dilate). This relaxation decreases resistance to blood flow throughout the circulatory system.

• Blood pressure reduction: The widening of blood vessels leads to lower resistance against blood flow, effectively reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension.

• Improved cardiac blood supply: By dilating coronary arteries (the blood vessels that supply the heart), nifedipine increases oxygen delivery to the heart muscle, which helps relieve chest pain in angina.

• Store Nicardia Retard 10 Tablet 30 at room temperature.
