Ticaspan Tablet 10

Ticaspan Tablet is used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or a history of myocardial infarction (heart attack). It helps prevent the formation of blood clots and is also prescribed to lower the risk of thrombotic events in patients with coronary artery disease who are at high risk of atherothrombotic complications.

Here's how you should take Ticaspan Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Always take the tablet at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor.

• If you are unable to swallow the tablet, it can be crushed, mixed with water and drunk immediately.

• Remember, you must not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Ticaspan Tablet is taken orally.

Ticaspan Tablet contains one active ingredient: Ticagrelor (90 mg). Here's how it works:

• Selective Inhibition of P2Y12 ADP Receptor: Ticagrelor selectively binds to and reversibly inhibits the P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor on platelets. This prevents these platelets from activating and clumping together, reducing their ability to form blood clots.

• No Metabolic Activation Required: Unlike some other antiplatelet agents, ticagrelor does not require metabolic activation to work. This characteristic contributes to its rapid onset and offset of action.

• Enhanced Platelet Inhibition: Ticagrelor provides a greater and more consistent inhibition of platelet aggregation compared to some other available medications. This makes it effective in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.

• Store your Ticaspan Tablet at a controlled room temperature between 20°C and 25°C.

• Ensure the storage area is dry and away from direct sunlight.
