Glycomet-GP 2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when diet and exercise alone are not enough. It is a combination medicine containing metformin (a biguanide) and glimepiride (a sulphonylurea).

It helps keep blood sugar stable and lowers the risk of diabetes-related complications. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well.

Follow the eating plan your doctor advises, with controlled portions of rice, roti and sweets, stay active and check your blood sugar regularly.

Before starting, tell your doctor about any medical conditions and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Learn the signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) and how to treat them. Report extreme tiredness or fast breathing, which can rarely be a sign of lactic acidosis.
