Ticaflo 90 Tablet is used in adults to help prevent blood clots and reduce the risk of further heart attack and stroke in people with heart disease.

Uses of Ticaflo 90 Tablet are:

• Acute Coronary Syndrome: Helps prevent clots in people with unstable chest pain or a heart attack.
• After a Heart Attack: Reduces the risk of a further heart attack or stroke.
• Heart Risk Reduction: Helps lower the risk of death from heart-related causes.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• If you can't swallow the tablet whole, you can crush it, mix it in water, and drink it immediately.

Ticaflo Tablet is taken orally.

Ticaflo Tablet contains ticagrelor (90 mg). Here's how it works:

• Platelet P2Y12 ADP-receptor Inhibition: Ticagrelor binds reversibly to the platelet P2Y12 ADP-receptors in your body. This prevents platelet activation and aggregation, which are crucial steps in blood clot formation.

• Thrombus Formation Prevention: By inhibiting platelet activation and aggregation, ticagrelor effectively prevents the formation of thrombus in atherosclerotic arteries, which are arteries narrowed by plaque buildup. This reduction in thrombus formation ultimately helps in preventing major adverse cardiovascular events.

• Faster Action: Compared to other medicines in its class, ticagrelor does not require hepatic activation and binds reversibly, which theoretically allows for quicker onset and offset of action if needed.

• Store Ticaflo Tablet at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original container to shield it from moisture.

• Ensure it is out of reach and sight of children.

• Always remember to use Ticaflo Tablet before its expiry date.

• Cut back on foods high in unhealthy fats and cholesterol. These can lead to the formation of plaque in your arteries, a condition Ticaflo Tablet helps manage.
