CompositionTorplat 90 Tablet is an antiplatelet medicine used to prevent blood clot formation in adults who have experienced a heart attack, severe chest pain (unstable angina), or have undergone a stent placement procedure.
It contains ticagrelor, which prevents blood platelets from clumping together to form dangerous blood clots in blood vessels. Take the tablet as prescribed with or without food, twice daily or as instructed by your doctor. Continue taking it consistently, as stopping suddenly increases the risk of a serious cardiac event.
General precautions are essential while on blood-thinning therapy. Take care to avoid injuries or cuts, practice soft-bristle toothbrushing, and always inform all healthcare providers and dentists that you take an antiplatelet medicine.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of bleeding problems, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unusual or prolonged bleeding, sudden breathlessness, or signs of internal bleeding such as black stools.
