Axcer 90 Tablet is used in adults at high risk of heart attack or stroke to help prevent harmful blood clots.

Uses of Axcer 90 Tablet are:

• Clot Prevention:Stops platelets from sticking together and forming clots in the arteries.
• Heart Attack and Stroke Risk:Lowers the risk of these events in people with coronary artery disease or a previous heart attack.
• Acute Coronary Syndrome:Used as part of treatment for acute coronary syndrome to help reduce the risk of further cardiovascular events.

Follow these instructions while taking Axcer 90 mg Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Stick to your regular medicine schedule without missing doses.
• Never take more than your prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Axcer 90 mg Tablet contains Ticagrelor (90 mg) which works on the body as follows:

• P2Y12 Platelet Inhibition: Ticagrelor prevents the binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to P2Y12 receptors on platelets. ADP is a compound that can stimulate platelets, which are small cell fragments, to stick together and form blood clots.
• Reduction in Blood Clots: By reducing platelet activation and aggregation, Ticagrelor effectively decreases the formation of blood clots. Blood clots can be harmful if they develop in the arteries and block blood flow to the heart or brain, potentially causing a heart attack or stroke.
