Axcer 90 Tablet is used in adults to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious heart and circulation problems, particularly in people with coronary artery disease or a previous heart attack.
It contains ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medicine that stops blood cells called platelets from clumping together to form harmful clots. It is taken as prescribed, with or without food, and is often given together with low-dose aspirin. Do not stop it without speaking to your doctor, as this can raise the risk of a clot.
Attending regular check-ups and following your doctor's advice on other heart medicines and lifestyle changes all help alongside this medicine. Tell anyone treating you, including your dentist, that you take it.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, stomach ulcers, liver problems, asthma, or breathing difficulties, or if you have surgery planned. Report any unusual or heavy bleeding, or sudden breathlessness, without delay.
