Ticavic 90 Tablet 10

Ticavic-90 Tablet is used to prevent blood clots in patients at high risk of heart attack, stroke, or acute coronary syndrome. Containing ticagrelor, it inhibits platelet aggregation, reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications and protecting blood vessels.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or breaking the tablet.

• If you find it difficult to swallow, the tablet can be crushed, mixed with water and drunk immediately. Refill the glass with water, stir and drink to make sure you get the full dose.

Ticavic-90 Tablet is taken orally.

Ticavic-90 Tablet contains Ticagrelor (90 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Blocks P2Y12 ADP receptor: Ticagrelor prevents the activation and aggregation of platelets by blocking the P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor on its surface. Platelets are small cell fragments in your blood that stick together to form clots.

• Prevents blood clot formation: By inhibiting the activation and aggregation of platelets, Ticagrelor effectively reduces the formation of blood clots. This activity helps maintain blood flow in your arteries and lowers the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.

• Store Ticavic-90 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine protected from moisture; use the original container for storage.

• Ensure that Ticavic-90 Tablet is always out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before using the medicine.

• In managing conditions like Acute Coronary Syndrome or a history of Myocardial Infarction, where Ticavic-90 Tablet is commonly prescribed, maintaining a heart-healthy diet is crucial. Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in your diet while limiting saturated fats and sodium.

• Regular physical activity is beneficial. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week, such as brisk walking or cycling, but do consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
