Ticavic-90 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death in adults with acute coronary syndrome or a history of heart attack, by helping prevent blood clots in the arteries.
It contains ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medicine. It works by stopping platelets clumping together, which reduces the formation of clots.
Take it as prescribed, usually with low-dose aspirin, and do not stop it suddenly, as this raises the risk of a clot. Avoid ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory painkillers unless your doctor advises.
Because it makes bleeding more likely, take care to avoid injury, and tell any doctor, dentist or surgeon before procedures. Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, stomach ulcers or kidney disease before use. Report unusual breathlessness, an irregular heartbeat, or bleeding that does not stop.
