CompositionFlodart Tablet is used to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men, such as a weak stream, urgency and waking at night to urinate. It does not change the size of the prostate.
It contains tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, which improves urine flow.
Take it about 30 minutes after the same meal each day, as prescribed, to reduce dizziness.
Tell your doctor about any planned cataract or other eye surgery before use, as tamsulosin can affect the operation. Rise slowly to reduce a drop in blood pressure on standing.
