CompositionUritin Tablet is used to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men, easing difficulty starting to urinate, a weak stream, and frequent or urgent urination, including at night.
It contains tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle in the prostate and bladder neck, which lets urine flow more easily.
Take it after the same meal each day, swallowing it whole, as prescribed. It can lower blood pressure, especially with the first few doses, so rise slowly.
If you are due to have cataract or other eye surgery, tell your eye surgeon you take this medicine, as it can affect the pupil during the operation. Report fainting or marked dizziness on standing.
