CompositionTamlago 0.4 Mg Tablet 10 is used to ease the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate in men, such as a weak stream, difficulty starting to urinate, dribbling and needing to pass urine often, especially at night. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing tamsulosin, and belongs to a class of medicines called alpha-blockers.
This medicine works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, which improves urine flow. Take it about 30 minutes after the same meal each day, in the dose and for the duration your doctor prescribes. Stand up slowly from sitting or lying down, as it can lower blood pressure on standing.
Going to the toilet at regular times and limiting fluids in the evening can help with urinary symptoms alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are due to have eye surgery such as cataract surgery, as it can affect the procedure, and about any other medicines you take, especially for blood pressure. Seek help if you faint, feel very dizzy, or have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours.
