Esomefol-DSR Capsule is used for managing conditions caused by excessive stomach acid, including GERD and erosive oesophagitis. Management of Zollinger–Ellison syndrome is typically done with proton pump inhibitor therapy alone, rather than routine combination with domperidone. It also helps reduce the risk of NSAID-associated gastric ulcers by reducing acid production and improving gastric motility.

Here are some general guidelines on how to take Esomefol-DSR Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing, or opening the capsule.
• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.
• This medicine should ideally be taken at least 1 hour before a meal.

Esomefol-DSR Capsule is taken orally.

The activity of Esomefol-DSR Capsule comes from the combined action of its two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): Domperidone works as a dopamine antagonist with antiemetic and prokinetic properties. It increases the movement of your stomach and intestines which helps prevent acid reflux and reduces symptoms like nausea and vomiting.
