Castor NF Cream is used to:

• Manage mixed bacterial and fungal skin infections
• Reduce redness, swelling, and itching associated with infected skin conditions
• Treat inflammatory skin conditions complicated by secondary infection
• Support healing in prescribed infected dermatological conditions

• Wash and dry the affected area before application.
• Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.
• Gently rub the cream into the skin.
• Wash your hands after application unless treating the hands.
• Do not cover with airtight dressings unless advised by your doctor.
• Use for the full prescribed duration.

The Castor-NF skin cream is for topical (external) use only.

Castor-NF skin cream contains the following ingredients:

• Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride (1% w/w): It is an antibiotic that impedes bacterial DNA synthesis, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth and reproduction.
• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05% w/w): It is a potent corticosteroid that mitigates inflammation, reducing redness, swelling, and itching associated with skin conditions.
• Metronidazole (1% w/w): Exhibiting antiprotozoal and antibacterial effects, metronidazole hampers the growth of certain microorganisms, contributing to the treatment of infections.
• Terbinafine hydrochloride (1% w/w): As an antifungal agent, terbinafine hydrochloride disrupts the synthesis of fungal cell membranes, impeding fungal growth and viability.

The storage instructions for Castor-NF skin cream are as follows:

• Castor-NF skin cream should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid harsh soaps, strong detergents, and abrasive fabrics that may irritate the affected skin.
• Keep the affected area clean and dry. If the infection involves the feet, change socks regularly and avoid tight or moisture-trapping footwear.
• Wear protective footwear such as flip-flops in public places like gyms, swimming pools, and changing rooms to reduce the risk of fungal infections.
• Avoid scratching or picking at the affected area to prevent spreading the infection.
• Do not share personal items such as towels, clothing, or bedsheets during active infection.
• If you have diabetes, maintain good blood sugar control, as high glucose levels may delay skin healing.
